Here it is. Dr said today that I haven't gained much weight lately and I told him I'm trying not to. Well, he said, you don't have to worry about that because you're still pretty light. Ha! I laughed inside.

Boy can you save money if you try!
We SCORED today.  I was fed up with the heat, and inability to cool off, so I headed to town with the girls, set out to buy a pool.  $120 would have gotten us a 12'x30"pool... no, not spending that much.
Bought a small pool for $50, with the intent to go home, and look online, and see what $50 could get us.
Well, 2 hours later, it got us a 16'x36" pool, with ladder, filter, and TONS of water toys.
Plus, the house I got it from was having a garage sale.  We also got 2 pogo sticks for $5 each (retails for $85 each), and a rip stick for $10 (retails for $67).
Did I mention that I LOVE craigslist?

 so excited.  It's just filling up, and they couldn't resist sitting in it.

 Just needs the roofing material on the porch, and a coat of paint, and the outside is done!

It's a great suite for when the parents come to town don't you think? ;)

Books

We are starting to purge just a bit (for the day when we move which we know will come eventually)  and I would like to know if any of you are interested in the kids books. ie Nancy Drew, Babysitters Club, Babysitters little sister, etc., etc.  If you are interested I will keep them for when you come in the summer (for J, K & L). If not then they will be brought away.  Anyone for an encyclopedia set?  Probably not hey since it is all on the internet.  Or National Geographics?

Sports day 2013

Mikenzies grade 1 day

Mikenzie was off to school this morning- first day!
First words out of her mouth (eyes still closed) "I'm so excited!"

 Her class is the first row here.  5 girls, 1 boy.  (1 girl is missing)

Jen made the trek to US of A, with her trusty side kick Sewster in hand when suddenly... jk

Jen made this lovely bag for her friend, the secret- some lovely dirt bike fabric inside for the man to whom this "diaper bag" will be.

We received this chair 2nd hand from some friends.  I revamped it to add some color to the room.

LOVE!

And Kyleigh had been asking me when i would finish the keyboard cover... so I finished it today.  

I told her i sewed today, and made something, but she would have to wait and see what it was.  When she saw it she said. "oh, I thought it would be something different.  Something more exciting."  

Thanks kid... do you know i spent 15 minutes unpicking a mistake?  (Jen timed me. :))
