Shop building

I have been asked to put a picture up every day showing the progress of the shop that is being built.
Yesterday was day number one.

 The footings were put in.  Can't really see the size but it will be 50 x 100.
 Don't you like how much can be seen from the house? Unfortunately that will not last.

Day two had the two drains put in and sand being put down.   The blue thing in the middle is our water collector.  A sump and hose will be used to remove the water when the barrel is full.

RO  i was gonna email but i couldn't find out how to insert my pic...................so that's where i hung them and i'm gonna put 2 or 3 hooks on the bare wood so we can hang the kids's house coats for baths and then they can reach them too..............Also the bottom board was 28 inches by 5 1/2 inches.  thanks Ro.

................. i was just told today that potatoe beetles.........(yup there is such a thing and i have over 100 ............probably closer to 200 on my 20 foot row of potaoes)........ potatoe beetles will crawl 2 miles to get to your potatoes .............they can't fly and  i was thinkin how do they find my potatoes and so i called the local veggie seller and he said they got nothing to do ..they got all day and night to crawl............so some farmer is growing potatoes 160 ACRES  OR 80 at the least and these beetles are leaving 160 acres to eat my 20 feet.  .........................little do they know I'm pickin up spray tommorrow. :)

we have had a crazy summer for hail and thunder storms and this is east of Taber............WAM bam.DONE.  Finished

this is our corn................same day as the other field pics were taken...............PHEW we were spared this time .........it just got a little ripped up but has come back super well.  As of today it is 10 feet tall.............but we don't talk to loud and get all excited about a good crop cuz tomorrow it could be ripped to shreds.

Some big ole storms a rollin through

we got 5 fishies ........Uno, pickles, Bozzo and Fotha.........and i can't remember the other one..........but bozzo (mine) and Leahs -Fotha were eaten by the others............I guess fishies eat other fishies :)

we wrapped up play people bikes but his gift was  a real bike ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we just had to buy it with him,,,,,,,,so we did and he loves it.  He keeps sayin...........You like my SCHWINN!...............

Our June

 I just like this pic.

 Dayna caught a little Robyn or hawk or some bird in a robyn nest 4 ft off the ground.  She looked different then the others but maybe she's just the ugly robyn!

 This is spotto.  They were draggin' her around the farm and our yard and then she got sick.............. and they didn't do it again........maybe that's why she got sick, so they'd leave her alone.

Ambers fieldtrip........we went to park lake and the weather wasn't so great........but the kids had a hoot anyways......................Even Ruby didn't want to be left out.  That's her striped brookie down there :)

Rosy had kittens right outside the sliding door on the deck.  1 left to get rid of but they kinda have nasty eyes.  Any one know why?



And Our dear Dayna turned six in neerlandia.   Now that won't happen every year :)

Two Hillbillies walk into a restaurant...

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.
Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. 
After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. 
One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?'
The woman shakes her head no. Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?' 
The woman begins to turn blue, and shakes her head no.
The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers, and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.
The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm, and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. 
As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table. His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'
