Uh oh...

Ro here... umm... that title wasn't mine, by the way. it was mom's... Jen, i accidently deleted the invitation to this blog again...that's why mom said i should name this 'Uh oh'... could you send me another one please? this time i won't delete it... and about that go-cart... it is flippin awesome!! i've only driven it 2 times now but i already am way better at it than the first time. today was the first time Teri went on it and i'm pretty sure she loved it... she was scared at first though. so for all of you who haven't been on it/one yet... when/if you do, you'll love it!! i think... well, suppertime.. gotta go. bye!

Bare Bottoms

So yesterday Dwight came home for breakfast and sat down in his chair. Dayna pipes up "Dad i see your bum". Yup plumbers but. So he stands up and fixes his pants and asks Dayna and Leah "Do you have one of those" Leah promptly stands up off the floor and proceeds to pull her pants down and say "Right here"

Very funny but the worst part is that i missed the mooning part..............I guess a mom can't witness everything hey :)

Jeff's new toy

Okay, so the Coop has an open house on Tuesday, the same day the girls were home from school because of the bad roads. Anyway, Jeff & Ro go to the open house and eat the available free food, hotdogs and donuts. They enter their names into the door prize boxes and also donate for a chance to win a go-kart. The proceeds of the donation go to the Stollery (the children's hospital and to Grizzly Trail fire and rescue.) Many people are against this because it is a form of lottery, which I guess it is but ya, since it is the Coop they entered the draw. Anyway Jeff gets a phone call at 8:30 Tuesday night to say he won the go-kart! He was flabbergasted to say the least. Jo said he was still having trouble believing it when he got up Wed. morning. The guys at the Coop wanted it to stay there till the end of the week so that more donations would come in, so that is why he waited till today, Friday, to pick it up. But then he finds out he also got a door prize and so did Rochelle. So Jeff has a new t-shirt and Ro a new hat. Talk about making his day. Ro as well as Jeff and Wes & Dennis all had a spin on it and Ro says it is so cool! Now if only the snow would go away. I think he will have a ton of fun in the mud that is going to be around here soon. :)

Man, looking for a job gets exhausting! Me and betty have been looking for one for like forever, and its so annoying. You know i already had that trial with that Nonnas place, but i never got a phone call from her, but i think thats cus i said i would think about it, but then betty was sick for her trial, so she called the lady up and said that she couldnt come in, the lady was a cow, she was like oh i totally forgot you were coming anyway, ive got alot of other girls in line anyway. So we said screw her. So then later we went back to mcdonalds and that bunnings place, they both told us to be patient and wait for the phone call... Then we found out about a possible job at a bakery/gas station thing through Dwaynes dad, he went there before us to talk to them, so we went there one day and she said that we could have trial thing again, me first then betty. Soo i went on Tuesday morning from 9 till 1, well it was supposed to be till 1. But let me explain, i was just nicely starting to get the hang of it all.. serving the customers and doing the register thing.. but of course at around 12, teh lady said she wanted to talk to me.. she said that she was really sorry but she couldnt take on me or betty anne, becuase she had just gotten a call from the boss, and she had said that they didnt want to just take me or betty, so htey are gonna take the third girl who had applied too.. So betty is not going to her trial... and we are still without a job.. so thats a piss off and a half.. But the lady did say that she was very impressed with how i did.. and all this other shit, and she said that if i need a reference at all i can come to her and she will give me one because she thought i did great.. she was really nice actaully, i think she felt bad for doing that.. but its annoying cus i didnt even get paid.. thats another ripoff. So i got home and then me and betty went to town and dropped off our resumes and applications at IGA, KFC, hungry jacks, um, The Dome( a really nice cafe) umm subway, and i think thats about it.. its getting so old though.. but ya theres not much else going on here.. except.. no nothings going on. And so my life goes on... quite exciting i think.

Snow Day :D

It is officially Spring, right? Well then why are our girls home with a snow day! Apparently the snow drifts are bad enough that the busses aren't running. It has been lightly snowing yesterday and now today too. Wind with it brings the drifts. Temperature isn't bad -3. Spring will come! Next week they have Spring Break. Hopefully the weather will be better.

Guess what?

So I learned that you can't just call up a sister and ask 'Guess what??' cause they assume the wrong thing. Ahem, you know who you are. And if I didn't call you its obviously not you. Process of elimination. So anyways, guess what? I got a message on my answering machine saying that this person is going to Taber and is wondering if I would like to come along. What? Really? Did I hear you right? Thats what I was thinking when I listened to it. So now, weather permitting I guess, and I still have to call her and tell her yes, I will be going to Taber this weekend!! Wahooo!!! Dennis is excited cause the lady I'm going with is his sled buddies wife. So no wives, no kids (I think, anyways) and a LOT of new snow drifts for these two boys!!

I had a visitor today. You may know her. Her name is Belinda. :) She came up to visit her cousin Steph who just had a cute baby boy who I got to snuggle with today. (haha, made you jealous ;) ) It was a good day. We caught up, made some lunch and supper that I could never make when Dennis is around. Veggies?? Gross! :) And then she came to my hockey game and watched Bentley while we lost. Bummer. So thats the excitement in my life right now.
Exciting??? I think so!!!

Sick kids

Both girls are throwing up tonight.   M started around 7, and K around 8...  It's hopefully be over an done in one night... makes for a busy mom though!

Yum!

Italian Chicken
1/3 c mayo
1/3 c italian dressing
1Tbsp basil
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp rosemary
chicken

Mix together, and cover chicken in 9x13 pan. 
Bake @ 375 wtih foil covering for 20 min, Take foil off, and bake another 20 min.
Note:  It's less time if you use boneless chicken.

Recycled Bib :P

Hello. How do you like the bib? It is made with plastic bags melted together. My first try didn't work out too good I think the iron was too hot. This was my second attempt. And the two little balls. I got the pentagon to look like a ball instead of a overstuffed star fish, Karen! Thanks for your help on that. I will be sewing up a storm when I get my new machine. But have fun with it while you can, Jen.

The weekend before last weeked i went to a study weekend here, i mean in Perth. It was pretty good, i kinda stayed with the same ppl, well not really, i just played volleyball alot, thats one thing i really missed since ive been here, i havent really played sports alot since ive been here. Oh and on Saturday like the saturday of the study weekend we all went to the beach for it. There were like 5 or 6 boats there for ppl to go tubing on or whatever, Me and betty went on Bruce Beintemas boat well it wasnt his but his uncles, and we tried out kneeboarding! Betty went first and i didnt really want to do it.. but then i did. I got a couple bruises from it.. but it was fun. lol its kinda weird because apparently that boat is the same one that Leanne went on when she was here.. Oh ya me and betty went looking for jobs again on Friday. We went to Nonna's a really fancy and expensive restaurant, they said that me and betty could have a trial, and if we didnt like it then there would be no point in us working there. So i just had my trial on Saturday night at 6... Man theres alot to learn, I had to bring the food out to ppl, and give the drinks, and clear the tables, then set them again.. And i had to pour wine for ppl too.. definetly not what i am used to At all!! I really dont know if i like that type of job though, like i know its a job but i dont think i could honestly work there for long.. betty and so say that it would be good for me to have a job like that.. but i really dont care if its good for me and all taht shit, i just want to have a job that i like, i know thats the wrong attitude, but its annoying. i was almost late for it too, because me and betty had just gotten back from 4x4ing on the beach..and by the way the waves were huge!! never seen anything like that in real life

Amber and Dayna had a great time runnig across a big puddle in a near by field. There was a layer of ice underneath and surprisingly it didn't break........lucky girls :)

Wet pants, soggy boots, lots of giggling, feels great after being cooped up for far to long.

Bye Bye old man winter

Bunnies are way to cute when their so tiny. It's incredible how fast these little creatures grow. We all love them...........me included. The girls want to keep a couple but sorry girls ..........cute little bunnies grow BIG really fast.

No more cabin Fever

A beautiful sunny day now thats something we haven't enjoyed for a while. Our snow is melting and we are finally able to go outside without bundling up. It feels great and i'm hoping spring is in sight. We had a great day outside today, we were gonna play soccer but the girls thought the puddles and the mud looked a little more exciting. They went to swimming lessons this morning and loved it. Leah feels very left out. Dayna came out of the pool last and Leah piped up "my turn", as she's trying to take off her shirt :).

So we are going to a party! for the newest 1 year old in the family! Too bad you can't all be there.

Cross country skiing

Last week tuesday, 7 ladies from church headed up to Mt baker for some cross country skiing!
It was a lot of fun!  We snowplowed through all the snow we got dumped on, got the van stuck in a snow bank, shoveled and pushed our way out, and had a great work out!

Albany

Soo.. i just got to Albany today :D Me and betty packed everything up on Tuesday morning, and left for our road trip to here! We stayed at Margaret River for 2 nights, walked around the town , went to a beach, it was so pretty! i took a ton of pictures. Oh lol it was kinda funny cus we went down a path thing in our car definetly not the smartest thing, we had to turn around cus it was all uneven, something for a 4x4, not for our little junk of a car. It was slightly amusing :P Last night we went to one of the beaches again, same place, and we just sat there.. I could have stayed there forever, well not literally, but betty got sick of it so we left. Today we went to Augusta, and just drove around to the lighthouse, took a bunch of pictures.. Man i took alot of pictures But thats good, otherwise ill regret it.. but anyways the water was so so pretty, it waslike a light blue. I saw a sign that said something about the Indian Ocean and another ocean joining there, didnt see it,i think we would have had to pay to see the lighthouse up close, i forget the other name.. Pacific or something? whatever it doesnt matter all i know is that it was very very pretty. And i was quite warm during all this :P Our car is causing us so many problems though. Today we put oil in our car, and me being the bright one that i am forgot to put the dipstick thing all the way in again, dont worry we didnt try put the oil in through the dipstick, but anyways a little bit later like 10 minutes later we smelled something like burning rubber or something and the car was smoking a little bit, We popped the hood, and there was all oil on the hood part and everywhere else... very stupid. and then betty pulled the dipstick piece out agian, and the whole thing came out, so we were like shit what do we do.. we were kinda just standing there, then finally a weird, but nice old man with a bowling hat stopped to help us.. he had no clue either.. kinda dumb that he stopped then. But anyways he did finally get the thing back in, and then we noticed taht we kinda had a lower tire.. But we thought it was just cus we had a ton of stuff in the back olr something like that we thought it would be fine, so we thanked him then continued on our way.. Then finally like another 100 km later we pumped it up with air.. it was quite low like 9 or something.. but whatever, its all good now, obviously. Oh and our freakin driver door is a worthless piece of shit. Sorry for the language, but it irritates us to no end man. a while ago someone tried to break in and the whole lock is out, so we cant use that door from the outside, and the window doesnt go down, its held up by a clothes hanger.. and the door barely opens from the inside, so sometimes if it doesnt work whoever is driving has to go through the passenger.. Great times i must say. But other than that it was really nice. Our car was packed completely full lol.. and we didnt even get lost :D Oh and on the way to Albany we went to Busselton too, we only went on the really really long jetty though. It goes like 1.8 miles into the the ocean its kinda cool. Oh and we walked the whole thing unlike the old ppl who went on the train. oh and we got icecream and fruit from the grocerystore, cus me and all my brightness used my brain and thought that icecream from the store would be way way cheaper then at the icecream store by the beach. The one by the beach was like 5 bucks for a single cone... i was like forget it! ya so.. this is kinda long, sorry..

Home alone (almost)

Good evening to you all. I am home all alone (almost) on a Wednesday evening when I should be at society. I would not have gone even if I did have a vehicle or other people in the house to watch Bentley. I have a cold and not much energy. Missy, who is husbandless till Thurs. night had a craving for BP so she asked R & T to go out for dinner with her. Then M called J and J's sister N to come with them too. Dad is picking up our hamburger from Jason, the guy who butchered it, then Dad will drop some off at Nathan & Karen, who wanted 50# then he will deliver some to Jeff's freezer. I got the privilege of babysitting Bentley and this time she fell asleep. Sunday night when I bbsat her, while D & M went to Young Adults, she fell asleep in my arms which I love. Last night I kept score and I watched B, in the gym, while Missy played vball. Yes the women still play vball during the hour of catechism. It is a very good way to spend an hour. Tomorrow I am to bbsit D. so his mom can practice the flute with the director/pianist for some choir pieces we are singing.

Is one week up yet????

Oh, what to do.

So, yesterday there must have been some jet fuel in my breakfast cause I don't think I stopped till I went to bed. There was cleaning and sorting and laundry and more cleaning and hockey. So today I have nothing to do. Nothing. And Dennis is gone for the next three days so I don't even have lunches to make and suppers to cook. Ugh. Maybe I should just roadtrip somewhere?? Except I just saw today that gas prices are ridiculously high. So maybe not. Anyone have any ideas what can fill my time??

Works sucks!

Not my work, although sometimes its not that fun either. Dennis had to stay in Fox Creek for 2!!! nights and then the van decided to break down so he won't be home till late tonight. Bentley is extra grouchy. She actually seems to do that more when she hasn't seen Dennis for a while. Wierd? I have to say I'm very glad I don't have twins. I went to babysit Sharis kids for a few hours this afternoon and having a cranky 1 year old and a sick 7 month old is NOT fun!! Anyways I have to go put that cranky 1 year old (almost, crazy hey?!) to bed. Those are my random rUmblings for the day :)

For tonight's dinner Spaghetti is on the menu.  3 out of 4 here like it so I call that a winner.  I'm the picky one this time.  :P
Funny story: This afternoon Logan and I sat in the back room to chill and decided to watch a movie.  He okay-ed Backyardigan's with me wondering if "I really want to watch that one?"  Of course I'm ok with the Backyardigans...they're my favorite! I stayed on the couch flipping through my Quilt magazines when I look up to see that Logan is blowing or 'huffing' the movie and wiping it on his shirt.  I am puzzled.  It's amazing what they pick up.  He did it again this time much more thorough with the huffing and much more thorough with the wiping on his shirt.  The funny part?  Well, this movie I'm talking about?  ...it's a VHS.  No huffing or wiping required:)   I love it so much I don't tell him it's 100% unnecessary.  Just like I've never corrected him when he says milk comes from cows.  You see...because it's true, it does.  But the part he added one day was not only that milk comes from cows but that it comes out of the cows penis.  And one other time we were chit chatting about cows and he said very thoughtfully "Mom, cows have lots of penises!!"

I just been looking at this genius gezinus thing or whatever the snot you want to call it. Since I am supposed to be the wisest the name suits me well. First of all I read Jen's blog about these random rumblings but I will call it thunder thighs because random rumblings means the guys junk is falling apart. that is what I thought the word was but it is rAmbling. When I was in school I had a friend who had a rambler. Where do you get these words from? So Jen because I read your blog first, you do sound pretty bossy and think you know it all which I did not like because I am not too smart (mom is typing this, exactly what I say) and come to think of it you should stay off for a week, you are rumbling too much. Love Dad :) :P :D :S. Like all the faces? Dad said do them all. but there is one he can't do with his itchy eye.

Hey!!
This is sweet! now i can talk to you all :D Soo...i dont really know what all to say so ill just start with what im doing in wonderful and hot Aussie land :P Lately I've just been going swimming on my days off every other day with a few girls. And then the days i go to work.. i dont do anything alll day.. well i guess its not too too bad but it definitely could be better. Anyways right now i am babysitting with betty at mary and erics. The weather is beautiful! Its been nice and sunny every day basically, well except for on Monday we had a big thunderstorm in the afternoon, it poured like unreal, most of byford had its power out. That same day we had to move out of the shed,and now we are back at bettys uncle james place. its not very interesting but oh well.. Today was mine and bettys last day at the airport. Well betty worked today, but next week tuesday me and betty are going to albany to live for the next however long. Hopefully we find a job there, we sent out resumes but we didnt get any answers back so we shall see.

random ramblings of a 3 yr old

I just finished making a table tent (drapes over the kitchen table) for the girls.  It is complete with a door, 2 windows, and a fire place.  Mikenzie takes a look at it, and beaming says to me "Thank you Mom!  I love you now!"  Not sure what she means by that, but it made me laugh.

Sleeping........... oh i doubt it.

Hi you guys. Woohoo. I know how to do this now. A friend came over and showed me how............ way to easy, but I couldn't have done it without her.
So for our little fam today we hung out with friends this afternoon while Dwight was at a pivot auction. We had a good time. Now the kids are sleeping up stairs in style. They often make tents and ask if they can sleep in them...........so yes tonight is the night but we set up a real tent. Lucky kids but CRAZY parents. They aren't sleeping yet but they're loving it :).
