A little Update

So as of today John and I have been going out for 1 year. It has gone by quite fast I must say. We plan to go out for dinner later on this week. Then on Friday me and John, and two other ppl are going to Busselton for the weekend. For a study weekend. It should be good, me and Simone, the other girl are renting a hotel, really looking forward to it actually, there is only a few speeches, and there is actually alot of free time to do whatever.  Umm what else. I got a new car, i think that is old news though. This past weekend was good! Betty and Wazza went to Perth for this Soccer Carnival thing with the churches. So Simone slept over for the weekend, and Caity came over Saturday night.
     
   On friday night a bunch of us went to the Kalgan River,  had a fire there. Actually it was quite funny, cus we needed some more branches for the fire, haha so me and simone left to go and find some more, this place is off a gravel road, and the road is lined with trees, so she drove..slowly, and i went all along the road to get twigs, and branches, then we came back , the back of her car was full of branches. Then the next time we went with john and liam, We see this dead tree on the side of the road, john goes to it and starts to pull the branches off, then notices theres a big drop off and it also has big boulders at the bottom, but of course he has to climb up the dumb thing to break it apart. The tree falls down, and he goes with it. Simone and Liam were just killing themselves laughing.. he was fine, but still, not the smartest thing to do. that was prety much the most interesting thing that happened for that night. But then Saturday, after work, a bunch of us went down to a beach, called Dingoes.. had a fire, took some pics, and had a good time :)
Sorry dont have my camera at the moment so i cant put any pictures up. was really good though. Left at about 10, then caity and simone slept over. THen for lunch on sunday everyone was invited to Simones, like to her actual home with her family, that was good, threw the ball around on the road, went for drive, Sunday night me and John just stayed at his for dinner. And Yesterday i worked 11-7, quickly got home changed clothes, had a quick bite to eat, and then went to a meeting thing from Reverend Schnitzel... thats how his name sounds, i hope that is how his last name is spelt. He is from the States, from New York.. He is not from any of our churches or anything. the meeting started at 7:30.. didnt finish till about quarter to ten..i was quite tired at the end,im soundin like a suck. But man i went to sleep quite late over the weekend, and ive got an inner alarm system going on so i wake up at about 6:30 now.. i refuse to get out of bed before 7 though if i have a choice. too early for me. but at least the sun is shining by that time.  And now it is Tuesday. Only two more days till its the long weekend. i asked for friday till monday off. Looking forward to it ! i think that is it for now.

A Helper..

Bentley made sure Opa did everything right. According to her Oma was too slow in driving the tractor and trailer .  She told Opa that I had to hurry up. :)

Ahhh, nice to sit down again!
Today I worked on the remaining walls that needed paint. Before and after pics.
What a difference! Notice how 2 lights are on in the first pic, and just one in the second- yet the second is WAY brighter?!?!?! We love it.  I will be painting the kitchen the same red that was on the wall by the desks the same color- I just need a few weeks to recover, reorganize, and re-energize.
Now you ALL have an excuse to come and visit!

A day in the life.........

 They were busy! This was only the beginning of bringing straw in. The hay was put in yesterday on the other side of the calf barn. Austin helped yesterday but today he had an excuse to get out of work!

 You can see my hand and Matt is the one loading the bales onto the trailer.

 Jeff was done with the small straw bales so then he moved on to the wrapper.

 Dad having fun with his new baler.  Yesterday, it wasn't fun.  Problems, problems, problems.

right now the boys r outside, the girls are chilling inside on the couch.  we played a rousing game of ticket to ride, and jen kicked butt!
Andrew and Karen went out for din din to ABC with kyle and mike, then headed to R&J's for some r&r... or do i mean r&j?

And the entry way done- before and after. when I walk around the house, and see the entry way, I don;t feel so boxed in any more. Ahh, tis nice! The wall with hte clock, is not done yet- I think I will tackle the other 3 main walls tomorrow. I may get sick of the disorder of the house if I take too long with it all though. First day of kindergarten for the little guy.

Day #4 for Ali.

I asked for a pic of their backpacks and they both bent over laughing their butts off. 

All ready to go.  I drove them to school today. Took pics of him and his buddies and classmates and went back home. Rob just went left for school too...

I'm home alone...but it's all good:)  No tears from me today.  I did when Ali hopped on the bus way back when she went to Kindergarten. 

I know they are both excited to be at school and afterall, I get to go to school later today too....I drive bus this afternoon:)

32 degrees..

Yesterday, it was bloody hot.  After school we headed to the beach, at Jade Bay. We hung out here with the three of us...Rob has school every Thursday night.
The lake was pretty busy considering it is September but cleared out at 6ish. We stayed until 6:30ish when we could def. say we had cooled down. Ali hunted down 12 sea snails and Logan rocked a rock-stache. 

It was just the thing we needed to do.  The mess at home could wait.

7th day of school

Kindergarten for Mikenzie, Second grade for Kyleigh- both equally excited!
I did have pics taken of her on her 1st day- by a friend since i left my camera at home.
I will add them later.

Grade 10, here she comes!

Here's a second day of school picture. I can't believe I forgot to take one yesterday!  Off to grade 10 she goes.

Something funny.....

Hello all.  The blog has been quite quiet this summer but I know that will change. Now I have a funny incident to tell you.
My story telling is not as good as Jen's but I will try. 
Yesterday, being Sunday, we went to church. (No kidding, hey?)  As the council members came out of the consistory room there was a break in the organized line.  14 men came out without incident but the first deacon (Trevor) had to hold the door open a bit longer than he thought cause your Dad was delayed in coming thru.  Why you ask?  Because the Rev. had said just before they started exiting the room "Everybody's zippers up?" And guess what. Your dad's zipper was not up!  So in a panic, he is scrambling to pull it up and it wasn't working. It was stuck (of course).  So the rest of the men (5) coming out have huge smiles on their faces. The oldest boy of Maria Hamoen says to his mom "I wonder what Mr. Bysterveld did this time?"
