Hello all. The blog has been quite quiet this summer but I know that will change. Now I have a funny incident to tell you.
My story telling is not as good as Jen's but I will try.
Yesterday, being Sunday, we went to church. (No kidding, hey?) As the council members came out of the consistory room there was a break in the organized line. 14 men came out without incident but the first deacon (Trevor) had to hold the door open a bit longer than he thought cause your Dad was delayed in coming thru. Why you ask? Because the Rev. had said just before they started exiting the room "Everybody's zippers up?" And guess what. Your dad's zipper was not up! So in a panic, he is scrambling to pull it up and it wasn't working. It was stuck (of course). So the rest of the men (5) coming out have huge smiles on their faces. The oldest boy of Maria Hamoen says to his mom "I wonder what Mr. Bysterveld did this time?"

oh, Dad. I guess it didn't take long for those Neerlandia kids to know that you are usually the trouble-maker in the group:)
I guess if the zipper was kaput you could have quickly chewed a Mento, make it all sticky, and then wedged in in there and hopefully the cows wouldn't be able to come out. Maybe you could do that next time;) haha, yuck.
