Deluge of rain lasted maybe 5 min. and now the sun is shining. Only in AB.:)

You guys might get sick of seeing the same stuff on here as on my other blog, but just consider yourself special because I choose to share the most with you :D

An Autobiography: Ali-Juliet

Once upon a time there was a sad pioneer lady.

How she longed to be free of the hum-drum plains-folk around her.

Hark!  What is that upon the horizon?

"Is that what I think think think it is?"  

Behold, it was a windy day out at the horizon.

I must quench my thirst.  Gulp...gulp...mmm.

Wait!  I think I just drank the wicked potion I concocted hither yonder.

                                         This is the scene this morning.  Pump truck ready to go.

11 hours later the men were done and gone.  Now 25.5 hours later it is being used for recreational purposes. :)

Caramel Mocha Ice Cream Cake

I searched the internet for the perfect ice cream cake recipe, and didn't find what I was looking for.  So, I came up with my own.  Mom said if it turned out, I needed to post the recipe here.  So here it is!
btw- Mom found a great recipe for sweetened condensed milk.
Here it is
1 c milk powder
2/3 c sugar
1/3 c-1/2 c boiling water (start with 1/3 c, if too thick add a bit more water)
1/4 c melted butter
Blend in a blender.   Done.


Caramel Mocha Ice Cream Cake
5 chocolate cookies crushed
16 oz cool whip
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c choc syrup
1/4 c caramel syrup
2t-4t instant coffee diluted in 1/4 c boiling water
1 roll Rollos- frozen


Put cookie crumbs in the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
Mix 12 oz cool whip, sweetened condensed milk, choc syrup, caramel syrup, coffee mixture in a bowl until smooth.
Spread on top of the cookie crumbs.
Freeze at least 2 hrs.  Spread with remaining cool whip. Cut up Rollo, sprinkle on top.
Freeze 8 hrs, or over night.
Cut, and serve drizzled with choc syrup and caramel syrup.
Delicious!
