homemade liquid laundry detergent

Good morning all,
I am posting this so that I don't lose it. I already use the dry version but want to try this too.
So take one bar of soap ( I prefer Sunlight) grate it, put it in a large pan. Add 1 gallon hot water, stir to dissolve the soap flakes. Bring to a boil. Add 1 cup Borax and 1 cup Arm and Hammer washing soda.  Mix, add another gallon water.  When it cools it will thicken.  Use 1/2 cup per load. Apparently over 550 loads of laundry can be washed per recipe and the cost per load is just pennies.

Description: Eclectic, cross-gabled homestead house built c. 1909, an example of an expanded utilitarian homestead house laid out in a T-shape. Features wraparound veranda, patterned shingles in gable ends, shiplap siding with corner boards, fan lights and side lights on main entry, and turned and tapered Doric columns.

A story

At supper tonight Bentley was talking about the fact that Dennis had finished eating already.
'It's because he's so big and strong'
'And handsome', I said
'What's handsome?'
'It means he's good looking'
'Oh'
'What' says dad
'We're talking about how you're so big and strong', I say
'And don't forgot good at seeing things!!!'

I laughed very very hard. Almost 4 is an interesting age. Just thought I should write it down somewhere before I forgot :)
