A trubute to the birthday boy!

Our brother Jeff...

He's not afraid to play twister with his BIL's

or get a little a-w-e-k-w-a-r-d...

He found a girl....

and got married....

and had a baby... baby.... baby....

He dwarfs his sisters....

.... and I mean aaallll of them!

he rides fast machines...

and is nice and strong.

We the people had fun today!

Here's a day in the life of Karen and her two girlies.

It's Martin Luther King Jr. Day and though they did no church bell ringing or bubbling renditions of his infamous speech it was a memorable day off of school just doing what we do.

A little goat feeding is the first chore of the day....

The sun was shining brightly the whole way over this morning above the 49th parallel so the fog here was sure to roll it's way on out.

First up was the grain....yumm yumm!

Kyleigh peaked from behind the fence....

There's always seems to be a hierarchy with animals...and perhaps large families:) Some get more, some get less, some get pushed out of the way, it's just the way it is.

I wish this one wasn't blurry, I almost deleted it but it's was simply too cute to throw away:)

Yates get his own little pen to stay away from the ladies:)

If you ever wonder where Yates got his name....I'll let you in on a little secret...

Sadly, the 'Whatcom Lawns' truck is no more.

But don't be sad!! It's now the 'What Lawn' truck! heh heh.

Who knows maybe soon it'll be just 'What Law?'

Or just 'What?'

The possibilities are endless!

Being Canadian and all, eh....I didn't know what was up with all the flags in Everson along the roadsides...but Karen put me in my place quick. I must have skipped all the American History classes that weren't offered at Credo:)

We packed up and were off to Bellingham on the scenic route. We made a couple stops but you can be sure one of them was Joann's:)

We did not buy this flannel. But wanted to.

Then we hit the road north again to Berthusen Park. It's a little gem hidden in the forest, a neat farming piece of history.

There's lots of trails there....and bears!

I thought it was pretty neat to hang out with these chicks today! It was beautiful out when the fog rolled away!

Until Karen uh, pinched a loaf, I mean took the browns to the superbowl, I mean, she used this historic 'loo' like the farm girl that she is and brought the fog back in. She's such a peach:)

This n that

During the break, we did some fun things too. Like make bird feeder pine cones. And other stuff I didn't take any pictures of. Not really a picture kinda person... sorry!

We had funny people over

And got hit by a bird too! This was driving to school. It was stuck there for a few minutes, and then the wind took him... of he came too and spread his wings... not sure. Zoom in- it's beak is stuck in between the wind shield wiper!
